The challenge
- Invoices were created by hand and sent as attachments
- No overview of who had paid and who was late
- Customers asked to pay online with iDEAL or card
- Customers and staff work in Dutch and English

- Customer management with full invoice history
- Invoice creation with PDF generation
- Online payments through Mollie (iDEAL, credit card, Bancontact) with webhook-based status updates
- Billing dashboard with revenue, ageing and outstanding amounts
- Secure authentication with Auth.js
- Customer-facing site and portal in Dutch and English

How we delivered
We built the portal on Next.js with TypeScript, PostgreSQL through Prisma and validation with Zod. Payment statuses update through Mollie webhooks, so they stay correct even when a customer closes the tab. The portal is covered by automated tests and runs as a Docker image.
